"Loving Hearts"
for the Maria Love Fund
Flowers By Nature has partnered with the Maria Love Fund to create the "Loving Hearts" arrangement. The proceeds from your purchase will go directly to the Maria Love Fund, supporting families in Erie County.
Named for its founder, Maria M. Love, who worked tirelessly on behalf of those less fortunate in the Buffalo community during the late 19th century and early part of the 20th century. Maria M. Love was a prominent Buffalonian and social services pioneer. She established the first day care center in the United States at 159 Swan Street in Buffalo, New York. In 1903, Miss Love organized a group of 31 prominent Buffalo women to raise funds and implement a program of convalescent respite care. This was the beginning of the Fund as it is known today
The Maria Love Board of Directors raises and distributes life-changing funds for individuals in Erie County who are convalescing in a variety of ways. The fund writes checks for items like compression wraps, critical medications, and adolescent feeding tubes. Thank you for your support of the Maria Love Fund.
